Designing and delivering a paid workshop for 21 early-stage MedTech founders on pitch messaging, one-liner frameworks, and science storytelling.

In August 2026, I was engaged as a paid speaker by MedTech Actuator Pte Ltd to design and deliver a 90-minute workshop on science communication and pitch storytelling for 21 early-stage MedTech founders preparing for an innovation pitch competition.
Early-stage founders are often brilliant scientists who struggle to communicate their work to non-expert audiences. Technical jargon, mechanism-first pitches, and single-version messaging were the most common gaps across the cohort. The session needed to be practical, immediately applicable, and tailored to founders preparing for a live pitch.
Covering reader mapping, the one-liner framework, the founder story arc, and a 10-slide pitch structure.
Written for this cohort and distributed to all 21 teams.
A free take-home resource for founders to reuse after the session.
A strong pitch is not just about the technology — it is about telling a compelling story that shows why the solution matters and why it can become a scalable business.
The session helped me restructure my presentation.
Learned a lot about pitching and how to create a good pitch.
